When a pit overflows, a holding tank backs up or grey water is standing where it should not be, the first job is to get the liquid off the site. That is a vacuum tanker job: pump it out, take it away, dispose of it properly.
When this is the right call
- A sump pit, holding tank or collection chamber has overflowed.
- Grey water or non-sewage liquid waste has to leave the property by tanker.
- A site needs dewatering after a backup, a leak into a basement, or a tank that cannot be emptied into the drain.
If the tank itself needs washing, inspection and a certificate, that is septic and sewage tank cleaning. If the drain is blocked, that is drain line jetting. This service is the pump-out in between: remove the volume so the site is safe, then decide what has to be cleaned or repaired.
How the tanker job runs
